An Eagle Creek maternity session with Blair

The weather was less than perfect, the sky was overcast and the sun was nowhere to be found.  Regardless, the day had been picked and scheduled so off we went to Eagle Creek Park for my first chance to shoot maternity photos. Blair was simply beautiful and radiant.

The weather was colder than we would have liked and she was dressed more for a warm spring day than what we got.

Despite being cold the photo session went beautifully.  We picked a couple of spots that made for a nice natural backdrop and away I went with my Nikon, capturing the moments as they went by.  My favorite spot happened to be near the ornithology center.  The spot was complete with a small bridge and a picturesque pond.  Here the temperature was quickly forgotten and we settled into having fun while capturing a very proud mama-to-be.

As we ventured to the next spot the clouds went away and out popped the sun making this a perfect way to finish out the photo session. The sunlight gave Blair a beautiful glow on top of her pregnancy glow.  Other than a few geese who tried to photobomb some of the pictures, the session was a success with the sun showing up just in time.

We ended our session back at her house.  While checking out baby Will’s room her sweet dog Ginger decided to join in the photography fun.  I always love the unexpected photographic moment allowing me the opportunity to capture a priceless moment in time.

Now we just have to wait for the little bundle of joy to make his appearance.  In the meantime, I am looking forward to photographing a new little person within their first couple of weeks of life.
