Sustainable Sunday – End of Year 1

It has been almost a year since we moved to our little home in the country.  What a year it has been, full of wonderful changes!  After living through all 4 seasons out here, I realize how in tune we are with nature.  Each season brought with it so many new things to enjoy.  Spring peepers, caterpillars, butterflies, moths, new plants springing up, mushrooms, leaves, creeks and the list goes on.  Living near a big city, seasonal changes were less pronounced or maybe I was less aware of my surroundings.

For today’s post, I wanted to share with you 5 photos of the same place on the property as it progressed through each season.  I had forgotten what a dramatic change it was until I reviewed my photos.

The photos are taken looking down a stretch of open land surrounded by trees on both sides.  A natural gas pipeline runs through this area.

Click on any of the above images for a larger version.  Nature is amazing!

That is the last of Sustainable Sunday for 2015.  Stay tuned in 2016, I may change things up a bit.  I am still deciding on where the blog is headed for next year.
