As the Thanksgiving holiday is upon us in the US, I would like to share a local place for Travel Thursday. Typically we are headed to Michigan to enjoy Turkey Day with Shane’s awesome family. However, this year we have decided to stay local & enjoy the holiday in our cabin in the woods. Just the two of us plus our three animals.
In line with our local Thanksgiving, I wanted to highlight a local park that I simply adore.
Although the photos included in this post were taken several years ago, I recently photographed a couple here for their engagement session. It reminded me how lovely this park is, especially in the fall.
Washington Township Park is located in Avon, IN. It boasts 2 fishing ponds, a new expansive playground, numerous hiking & mountain bike trails, a gazebo, an outdoor amphitheater & stream access among nature’s beauty.
Nestled in suburban Indiana, it is a great way to get away from the hustle & bustle and get back to nature.
Recently, they have added a dog park. Click here for more information.
Several bridges are located throughout the park for foot travelers or cyclists.
The local wildlife enjoying their piece of nature.
Numerous hiking & mountain biking trails await with varying experience levels.
The last of the season.

Stay tuned as I will be sharing a link to my business blog post from the engagement session.
Happy Thanksgiving to my US readers.
