I embrace solitude. I was not always this way. There was a time I hated to be alone and I would avoid it. Now I prefer it. Although I do not live alone, I get plenty of alone time. It is healthy and refreshing.
The photo I chose for this week’s challenge is a perfect example of my favorite way to vacation. Away from crowds, solitude in nature is always my preference.

I loved the quotes for this week’s challenge on the Daily Post.
“We live in a very tense society. We are pulled apart, and we all need to learn how to pull ourselves together. I think that at least part of the answer lies in solitude.” — Helen Hayes
“Solitude is the place of purification.” – Martin Buber
