Ralphie Rough Road

The road to Devils Tower in Wyoming.

At the end of our trip to the western U.S., we decided to stop in at Devils Tower.  Shane had been there before and was eager to go back.  I had never been.  As the surrounding landscape seemed less than exciting I was starting to wonder about this road taken.  However, I was pleasantly surprised as we pulled up to the campground and off in the distance this geological formation rose above the landscape.  The next day we spent the afternoon hiking the trail around this strange formation in the middle of nowhere.  Daring rock climbers were about half way up as we circled the entire formation.  Prayer clothes hung on trees and prairie dogs zipped in and out of their holes.

This road taken was indeed a nice surprise and one I would take again.
