Week 10 of the 52-week photography challenge:
“Tell us the story of your hometown. It could be a famous landmark, something the town is known for, or even just your favorite place to relax.”
Monrovia, IN
The closest small town to our country home. Complete with a friendly bar and a little cafe big on tasty food. Neither of us grew up here yet it has become home to us. We’ve met many new friends, who are now good old friends, at this little bar. Every time we walk in we are met with several familiar faces. It feels like coming home to a reunion each time.
Recently, Ed took over at Cafe On the Corner. Combined with his great personality, his food is sure to please. We look forward to many more great meals at this little cafe.
If you ever find yourself passing through Indianapolis via I70, stop in on the west side of town into the small town of Monrovia. The Cafe on the Corner is open 7 days a week from 6 am – 3 pm serving breakfast, lunch, and a collection of Mexican favorites. Main Street Bar & Grill is open Tuesday-Saturday 4 pm – 11 pm (12am on weekends or longer depending on the crowd). Tell em Shamy sent you! Not pictured here but directly behind the camera view is Dawghouse Pizza, another delicious spot we have spent more than a few evenings with friends over beers and pizza. They are open 7 days a week from 4 pm – 8:30 pm.
