I just updated my word count for the 14th day in a row and reached the 25K word count. Feeling great about this year’s NaNoWriMo. My story is coming along great. I’m excited each day to see what will happen and I’m the author! With two weeks to go, I am feeling optimistic. But we have a short trip to the East Coast planned for next week and then Thanksgiving the following week. Each day I am working on putting words in my “word bank savings account”, to help out on those days when I am short of the 1,667 daily word goal. Let’s see if I can keep this up and hit the final goal of 50K in 30 days!
Love the little badges awarded along the way. Keeps me motivated. It’s the little things in life!
I’m loving the new and improved NaNoWriMo website. The stats page is especially helpful to keep a (not so young) aspring writer motivated.
Anyone else out there participating this time around? How’s it going for you? Keep at it and dedicate some time each day to meeting this goal. You can do it fellow NaNoWriMos.
Note: this time last year, I was way behind on my word count. I finished out the month with 17K words. But I learned a lot from that experience and it’s paying off in helping me achieve my word count thus far.
