Here we are at the end of another year! I am always amazed how fast it goes. Looking back it’s been an interesting year with ups and downs but in the end I’m smiling and overall happy. Thanks 2019 you have been a good year but it’s time for you to go. Hello 2020, be kind and gentle if you can. I look forward to all the adventures you hold for us.
Fingers crossed nothing too crazy or bad.
For 2019, I read a total of 29 books. Down by 1 book from last year. I hope to read more in 2020.
Not pictured (forgot to take a picture): “Writer’s Market”, “Why We Dream”, and “Killing Commendatore”.
My last book of 2019. Excellent book!
This year I participated in the 52 Week Photography Challenge by Dogwood Photography. Here are all of my submissions for 2019!
I love looking back at the photos from the year. Always fun to treasure the memories.
And the last of the weekly photo challenges for the year:
Week 52: Story Telling: Self-Portrait
“In the first week you took a self portrait and told us who you think you are. To finish this off take a self portrait that shows us who others think you are.”
In the last couple of months more than one person has said to me “you are such an upbeat and happy person”. This self-portrait captures what others see in me.
How about a quick recap of the year.
This year I upgraded my office space with a nice writing desk from 1961 & a new ThinkPad.
We went on a kayaking and canoe trip, along with various hikes throughout Indiana.
I published my first piece on Medium. (Typewriter photo courtsey Pexels.com)
This website got a nice update. (Hammer photo courtsey Pexels.com)
I won NaNoWriMo by writing 50,000 words in 30 days.
We bought a new to us car and took a trip to New York City & Connecticut to get it.
Those are just a few of the blog’s highlights from the year. Here’s to making many more memories in 2020.
Happy New Year! May 2020 be your best year yet!
